Among the apparel trends that industry insiders said consumers will find for fall are shades of gray, metallics, sheer materials, embellishments in the form of sequins and stones, sophisticated cocktail dresses, bright colors, and velvet.

As for jewelry, one focus will be on all things "green," whether that means nature-inspired designs that incorporate butterfly or snake motifs, or designs featuring green-toned gemstones with earthy hues such as brown and yellow. Also look for "gladiator-style" rings and bangles featuring crossover styling, medallions, double-hoop earrings, stacking pieces, hearts, knots and paisleys.
